Loft Space Conversion Types

Your new room may require an external Dormer or Mansard projection to the existing roof space. Top Flight will tailor the design to your individual needs, and recommend materials for long lasting and maintenance free exteriors.

If it is possible to achieve your desired conversion within the existing room shape then we use only Velux roof light windows, designed for a lifetime of service. 'Velux' conversions create a bright, airy atmosphere with charming sloping contours to the new room.

Hip to Gable Conversion	Side Dormer Conversion

'Hip ended' properties may require the sloping side roof to be modified to allow the new stairway to continue naturally over the existing stairs, or perhaps to create extra space. Our surveyor will advise you on the option of either a 'side dormer' or a 'hip to gable' conversion, as illustrated above. Our skills will enable either to portray that "built with the house" look.

Your staircase will be constructed from high quality "Southern Yellow Pine", a hard durable wood with a beautiful grain. Other quality softwoods or mahogany are also available.

Staircases, balustrades and stair parts can be "matched" to your existing styles to achieve a seamless continuity. Traditional, spiral or Space Saving stairs are among the options available.
